Twitter has many uses. It tells us if one sports team beat another sports team. It tells us funny jokes from comedians. It tells us that Donald Trump is awesome, although the “it” in that sentence is Trump himself, which also makes it a funny joke.
Twitter tells us what people think about gay marriage, what they think of the new season of Game of Thrones and what they think about the Miami Heat’s winning streak coming to an end.
Thankfully Twitter also tells us when bands we love have new albums coming out.
Rogue Wave is back. That’s good news, kids. It is. They released their last album, Permalight, in 2010, which by my calculations was like, almost four years ago. That’s forever! Think about how many mix tapes Lil’ Wayne has released in that time? At least eighteen probably.
If you don’t know who Rogue Wave is, you’re missing out. They are the brainchild of Zach Rogue and Pat Spurgeon and play the kind of sunny pop rock that makes you feel blissfully indestructible. Arguably their best album to date is 2007’s Asleep at Heaven’s Gate. A song of theirs you’ve probably heard before is “Eyes,” as it appeared in the movie Just Friends and was played at my wedding- an event that has become legendary for the music that was played (now that’s boasting Trump!)
Rogue Wave releasing a new album right at the onset of summer makes complete sense because Rogue Wave is a band made for summer. That Internet, is a fact.
