Earlier this week, we focused on last season of Game of Thrones, with a rundown of things to remember. Now it’s prediction time for this upcoming season of Game of Thrones.
Five Characters to Watch
Margaery Tyrell
Joffrey’s saucy sex pot wife might know how to play the game better than others. She already has Joffrey figured out and should be planning her next move.
Cersei
The other woman in Joffrey’s life is always a force to be reckoned with.
Davos
Stannis’ right hand man is the only one left who can keep Stannis’ head on straight and is also the only one paying attention to all these tweets coming from the north about the White Walkers. He knows they are no lol matter.
Gendry
On a show full of wild cards, Gendry, the bastard son of the last true king, King Robert, might be the biggest wild card of them all. And thanks to Davos, homeboy is in the wind now.
Jamie Lannister
Let’s give him a hand, he’s back. And no literally, let’s give him a hand because he lost one last season when that crazy road manager from Almost Famous cut it off. Jamie is coming back into the fold a new person. Right? He has to have changed a little bit after his year of imprisonment. I would think his new perspective on his life could have a ripple effect amongst the Lannister family.
Comeback Player of the Year
Tyrion
After a strong season in season two, a coming out party for everyone’s favorite Not Tall Person, Tyrion faded back to the pack some in season three. I’m expecting him to have a bounce back season this time around. I also think he’ll benefit the most from having Jamie back around because they were always close. And I’ll say this- if we don’t get at least one scene consisting of Tyrion, Jamie and Bronn, hanging out, drinking and talking about life on the road, I won’t be happy.
Most Valuable Player
Arya
The firecracker of the Stark family is going to be out for blood this season. And she’ll have the Hound in tow, which promises comedy gold at least once an episode.
Also considered: Jon Snow, Tyrion, Jamie
First Major Character to Die
Joffrey!
No, kidding. No way that’s going to happen. Although it might. But even if it did, it wouldn’t be until towards the end of the season. So I’m going with…
Shae
…Tyrion’s special lady friend. He’s his weakness and dude has plenty of enemies. Shae actually means “collateral damage” back in her native country.
And here, here is a playlist of songs to listen to while you scour the Internet for Game of Thrones’ previews…
