Dave Grohl is awesome. Loving Wife says I have a man crush on him. I can’t disagree.
5 Reasons Why Dave Grohl is Awesome:
1. He’s having a blast and not afraid to show it…ever.
2. He wrote a song with Paul McCartney in three hours. And that song rocks.
3. He formed a band, Them Crooked Vultures, with Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) as a side project.
4. He was in The Muppets.
5. He says things like this: “To me this award means a lot because it shows that the human element of making music is what’s most important. Singing into a microphone and learning to play an instrument and learning to do your craft, that’s the most important thing for people to do. It’s not about being perfect, it’s not about sounding absolutely correct, it’s not about what goes on in a computer. It’s about what goes on in here (points to heart) and it’s about what goes on in here (points to head.” – the 2012 Grammy Awards, where the Foo Fighters won the Grammy for Rock performance.
Grohl’s latest project, Sound City, a documentary about the legendary LA recording studio, Sound City Studios, comes out later this month and yup, it looks awesome.
