It’s been a little over a week since I posted the 30 Best Hey Oh! Songs of 2013 and already I have a song that should have made the list or that very least, made the Just Missed the Cut List.

“Collared Greens” Schoolboy Q featuring Kendrick Lamar

I love me some four on the floor! Love it! When I played in reggae bands, it was always the highlight of the set for me. Four on the floor just drives. You can’t help but bounce to it. And bounce is exactly what I do when I hear “Collared Greens.” It has such a fun groove, such a lively vibe to it. It’s the musical equivalent of flashing lights…and not cop car flashing lights, but big time party flashing lights. I’m not even a Kendrick Lamar fan, but I love his verse on this song. I love everything about this song. Especially the chinny, chin ching part- because it’s so much fun to singalong with.
