Emmy 2018 Predictions by Committee

The 70th annual Emmy Awards are on tonight, with tonight being a Monday, which is weird because aren’t award shows on Sunday nights? I’ve spent the last few days wondering how long this has been going on, how long have the Emmys been on a Monday as opposed to a Sunday, but have spent zero days actually trying to answer this question. It will go unanswered. Who really cares?

Predictions are generally as pointless as opening paragraphs posing questions in which you don’t answer and I’m not here to give predictions. Well, maybe I am. Kind of. I’ve taken a few years off from doing this but I’m angling to get back in the game so I’ve asked my head, I’ve asked my heart and I’ve consulted with my gut to get a read on this year’s nominations and how things may or may not play out Monday night.

The head casts their vote for who they think will win, the heart for who they want to win and the gut is the voice of the wild cards. As with most committees, agreements between all parties are rare.
