Hey, it’s Monday. That’s cool, but not exactly breaking news. So here, this is breaking news – Run the Jewels have dropped a new track. The follow-up story? It’s dope.
Giddy Up America’s favorite rap duo released “Talk to Me” earlier today on Adult Swim. The track is their first release off of their upcoming album Run the Jewels 3. As is their modus operandi – the track is straight fire. It’s combative, has a bounce to it and harbors a ferocity that the majority of music out today lacks. Killer Mike and El-P simply hit it harder than anyone else. Of course it’d be natural to wonder and fret if maybe they had lost some of their edge and their new album might be more pedestrian than their first two albums. “Talk to Me” squashes any such claims and concerns.
Run the Jewels 3 doesn’t have a release date yet, so stay tuned on that one.
